Requirements Engineering

An overview of techniques related to eliciting, defining, documenting, analysing and tracing requirements for an engineering project. If the requirements are complete (or the problem areas are identified) and well understood and prioritised, the project has a larger chance of success than if the requirements risk remaining incomplete, fuzzy or misunderstood. This is a practical approach which aims at providing some simple steps towards being able to start an engineering project based on clear understanding and common agreement on the requirements with both the customers and the engineering staff.

The workshop is aimed at bringing together the key engineering staff and can be focused either on a theoretical approach with key members from different projects and organizations (two day workshop), or it can be practically aimed at the requirements of a given project, using a real-life internal requirements document (three days).
