Process is simply the way you do things. It is not about documentation or bureaucracy, it is based on a knowledge of what we are trying to achieve, in terms of results rather than tasks, an understanding of what is the most effective way to achieve the goal, and learn from errors and successes so that every time we perform a task, we can perform me more efficiently.

Process improvement involves setting up controls which allow to ensure that lessons can be learned and are learnt so as to continuously improve the way things are being done, across the organization.
